Being able to provide evidence to stakeholders that the Business Continuity Plans actually work and that there is a clear policy in place can sometimes be difficult if the overall process has not be properly audited. Second party audits provide the Auditee with an open and honest report. Internal Audits (or self-assessments) are sometimes conducted by those who have actually written the documentation and are essential to give management confidence in the planned arrangements. Many organisations have dedicated Audit teams, whilst they are expert Auditors, some may have very limited knowledge of Business Continuity Management. |

1 Day Introduction to Business Contnuity Management Business Continuity Management is required to retain critical business processes, returning the business back to normal operations as smoothly and as quickly as possible. Business interruptions can happen at any time, usually without warning, due to fire, flood, loss of staff due to industrial action or even a syndicate win, loss of key suppliers and many, many more; all of which have the ability to halt or significantly interrupt normal business operations. This can impact on customers, financials, the brand and the ability for the business to meet its legal and regulatory obligations. It is therefore essential for all businesses, irrelevant of their size and sector, to demonstrate to their stakeholders that they have well tested business continuity plans in place and that they are fit for purpose. 2 Day Practical influencing, persuasion and negotiation in procurement and contract management Achieving organisational objectives from the supply market requires a sound approach to procurement and effective use of influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills to change attitude, persuade others to our opinions and agree both commercial and operational outcomes. These skills are essential for agreeing contractual arrangements at the outset of a contract and then managing both commercial and operational issues during the implementation, management and review phases of the contract life-cycle. For most of us these skills have been developed during our life experiences, to the point that they become intuitive. 3 Day Business Continuity Managment Implementation Course Businesses that have good, well tested Business Continuity Plans in place and can provide evidence to their stakeholders and customers that they are fit for purpose will no doubt have a far better approach to the recovery of their business; following a significant interruption. Any recovery will be in a planned and rehearsed manner, with minimal impact to the services the company provides. Businesses that have a good Business Continuity capability will have a much better understanding of their business and the resource needed to maintain a minimum level of service, but one that is acceptable to customers and one which maintains its legal and regulatory obligations.
